Studying abroad should not mean being on your own.

Most agencies send you an admission letter and disappear. Then the visa office, the landlord, the registration desk and the faculty all speak a language you do not. In Foča, we are physically there — before you arrive and for every year of your degree.

You get an admission letter and a flight date. Everything after that is your problem.

You queue at the immigration office without knowing which form you need.

You rent an apartment from a landlord you cannot talk to.

If you are 17, nobody can legally act for you on site.

That costs time, nerves and, for many families, the confidence to let their child go abroad at all.

One partner, from application to graduation.

As official contractual partner of the University of East Sarajevo we secure your place at the Medical Faculty Foča — Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy or Midwifery.

Our office in Foča handles your visa, residence permit, registration with the authorities and all communication with the faculty.

We find your apartment, negotiate with the landlord and translate every contract before you sign it.

Students under 18 get a legal representative on site — so a 17-year-old can enrol, sign and settle in with full legal backing.

Real student stories

Our students in Foča tell it in their own words:

The problem

Francesco worked as a care assistant for the elderly and did not hold a general university entrance qualification. At home, that made a place at medical school practically out of reach — there was no realistic route through the standard admissions process. He felt stuck: a strong wish to become a doctor on one side, and the sense that his education and career path had permanently ruled it out on the other. The repeated rejections and lack of any real prospects were especially frustrating.

The solution

Through his consultation with Medizinerschmiede, the German sister company of Study-Medicine-Foca.com, Francesco learned that his professional qualification could still open the door to a full, recognised medical degree abroad. We secured him a place at the University of East Sarajevo in Foča, got his prior training formally recognised, and supported him through every formality on site. Today he is studying medicine successfully. Francesco shows that with the right strategy and personal support, the dream of medical school is achievable even without a traditional diploma.

The problem

After completing her training as a medical assistant, Erika did not hold a general university entrance qualification — only a more limited diploma. At home, that made a place at medical school practically impossible: the required grades were out of reach, and admission through waiting lists or other quotas was not an option for her. She felt stuck, and the frustration, compounded by rejection after rejection, made the situation even harder.

The solution

Through her consultation with Medizinerschmiede, the German sister company of Study-Medicine-Foca.com, Erika learned that her diploma was enough to start a full, recognised medical degree abroad. We secured her a place at the University of East Sarajevo in Foča, got her qualification formally recognised, and supported her through every formality on site. Today she is studying medicine successfully. Erika shows that with the right strategy and personal support, the dream of medical school is achievable even with a more limited school diploma.

  • A university chosen to last

  • Placement at medical school with her diploma

  • Welcomed into a large community

About us

Who is behind Study-Medicine-Foca.com

Founder Marcel Kloos is a doctor who studied abroad himself and has been placing students at the Medical Faculty Foča for years — as the university's official contractual partner for international students. Our Local Officer Neda Josić runs the office in Bosnia.

Marcel began his dentistry degree in 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria, and completed his state examination in 2021. He knows what it means to arrive in a new country at 24 with a suitcase and no one to call — that is exactly the gap Study-Medicine-Foca closes.
