After graduation: working as a doctor in Europe
Most Indian students who come to Foča want to build a career in Europe — and the MD from Foča is the right degree for that. It comes from a state university and qualifies you for medical recognition in European countries, including Germany.
Working in Germany
Germany has a lasting shortage of doctors, especially in regional hospitals and underserved areas. Foreign-trained doctors are actively sought. After graduation and German at B2 level, you can apply for Approbation — the German medical licence — through the competent authority in your chosen federal state. We help graduates get through this process: Approbation application, document preparation and finding the first hospital position.
Other European countries
We do not stop at Germany. We help graduates into their first post in Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, France, Italy, Norway and Sweden. We look at your specific situation and tell you which country fits your career plan, then guide you through the recognition process and the applications. Europe has a sustained need for doctors — a European degree keeps your options open.
Transfer to a higher semester in Germany or Italy
You do not have to complete all six years in Foča. After your first semesters we can apply on your behalf for a place in a higher semester at universities in Germany or Italy — we handle recognition of the exams you have passed and send applications to up to five universities.
You need German at B2 for Germany, Italian at B2 for Italy. We can connect you with a language teacher who can get you to that level while you study.
Recognition and transfer requirements can change and are decided case by case. Always check current requirements with the relevant authority or university before you enrol.
