The pharmacy degree programme is structured as four semesters of basic study leading to the First Section of the Pharmacy State Examination, four semesters of main study leading to the Second Section, and a subsequent practical training year.
The practical year is spent half in a community pharmacy; the second half may be completed in a hospital pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, or a regulatory body. The Third Section of the Pharmacy State Examination and approbation as a pharmacist then follow.
